Electronic Throttle Body (ETB) Relearn

Essential after replacing or cleaning a throttle body, or disconnecting the battery. Without it, your vehicle may suffer from a rough idle, stalling, or poor acceleration.

Battery Management System (BMS) Reset

Modern cars alter their alternator output as a battery ages. If you install a new battery without resetting the BMS, the alternator will overcharge and destroy the new battery in a matter of months.

Transmission Adaptive Learning

Automatic transmissions adapt to your driving style and internal clutch wear. After a transmission fluid flush, valve body repair, or transmission replacement, we clear the adaptive memory so the Transmission Control Module (TCM) can learn to shift smoothly again.

Transmission Adaptive Learning

Crucial after a wheel alignment, steering rack replacement, or suspension work. If the SAS isn't zeroed out, your Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Lane Departure warning systems will not function correctly.

Crankshaft Position (CKP) Variation Learn

Required after replacing an engine, an ECM, or a crankshaft sensor. Without this relearn, the computer cannot accurately detect engine misfires, which will trigger a flashing Check Engine Light.

What is Module Relearning, and Why is it Necessary?

As you drive, your vehicle’s modules (computers) constantly monitor the wear and tear of various components. Over time, the computer “adapts” its programming to compensate for this wear. For example, as carbon builds up in your engine’s throttle body, the Engine Control Module (ECM) slowly opens the throttle blade a little wider to maintain a smooth idle. If you replace or clean that throttle body, the physical restriction is gone—but the computer is still applying its old, adapted settings. The result? A dangerously high or surging idle.

Module Relearning (also called Adaptation, Initialization, or Calibration) erases those old, compensated habits and resets the computer to its factory baseline, allowing it to sync perfectly with the brand-new part.
